About LOI
LOI (Leidse Onderwijsinstellingen, founded in 1923) is the largest home-study provider in the Netherlands, with over 240 programmes: from accredited MBO and HBO degrees to short courses.

MBO programmes lead to the same accredited diploma as a public regional college (ROC).

Frequently asked questions
Yes. The MBO programmes are Crebo-registered and the HBO programmes are NVAO-accredited — the same level of recognition as publicly funded schools. LOI also carries the NRTO quality mark for private education.
You study from home via LOI's online learning environment, at your own pace. Per programme you choose self-study (Online) or a variant with more guidance (Online+). Exams are partly online, partly on location.
